At Dallas, world champion tie-down roper Cody Ohl and saddle bronco riding leader Cody DeMoss each added almost $4,000 to their world standings leading totals with first-round victory on Friday night at the $470,000 Wrangler ProRodeo Tour Championship.

Ohl won his event with a time of 7.5 seconds and now has more than $157,000 in earnings this season. DeMoss won his round with an 86-point ride and now has more than $132,000.

Bobby Welsh was the only competitor with Wyoming ties to finish in the money. The bull rider scored a 79 on Friday to finish second and pocket almost $3,000.

The second round is tonight, followed by the semifinal and championship rounds on Sunday.
