An office and warehouse building will soon join other new projects along Blackmore Road in Evansville.

A site plan has been approved for Fowler and Peth Inc. to build a 16,800-square-foot facility in the East Lathrop II subdivision, according to town planner Pepper McClenahan.

The area has seen a considerable amount of activity recently, including new Baker Hughes Inteq and Budget Blinds buildings.

Fowler and Peth is a distributor of roofing, waterproofing, insulation and general building materials. The company has been in Casper since 1950.

Kurt Peth, executive vice president, said the new building will replace a structure on East C Street that was destroyed by fire in 2006.

He said construction should begin within the next month and be completed by next summer.

In the meantime, the company has been operating from temporary quarters.

In addition to Cheyenne and Casper, the company has operations in Scottsbluff, Neb., and Denver, Colorado Springs, Granby, Rifle and Montrose in Colorado.
