It could be the perfect party: over 25 different kinds of chocolate in various forms will fill tables while friends sip champagne and jazz plays in the background.

Attendees of the Chocolate Delight, held tonight from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Parkway Plaza Hotel, will enjoy the festivities while participating in Alzheimer's Wyoming's annual fundraising event.

Alzheimer's Wyoming, a not-for-profit organization, works with support groups and individuals who care for Alzheimer's patients. Caregivers learn how to respond to patients' specific needs through presentations and group discussions.

"We teach people how to care for folks with that specific problem," said Mary Hein, who works with Alzheimer's Wyoming as a group presenter. "It's a particularly hard place to be a caregiver for Alzheimer's patients."

According to Hein, community members and their friends are buying groups of tickets so that they can visit in the chocolatey surroundings. Hein said she suspects that many people will come less for the chocolate and more for the JuJu Jazz music group.

"They are just so interesting to listen to, and so fun," Hein said. "Some folks will come just to enjoy the music.

This year, Hein said, a new Caregiver of our Community award will be given to a member of the community.

"Our organization tries to take care of the caregivers for Alzheimer's patients, so it's really important that we give a caregiver award."
