Superheroes, Mary Poppins, and Rizzo all in one show? The Casper Figure Skating Club is combining famous movies, popular musicals and favorite characters in this year's ice extravaganza "A Night at the Movies."

Held annually at the Casper Ice Arena, this year's event, on Saturday at 7 p.m., will be an opportunity for a fun family night out.

"The kids are out there having lots of fun. They're all in cool costumes and they've practiced really hard," said Cindy Moon, a club parent. "It should be a good time."

The show, which will include demonstrations-on-ice to movies like "Indiana Jones," "Happy Feet" and "Grease," will be performed by children from ages 4 to 16 in various levels of ability.

"A Night at the Movies" will also include solo performances by upper-level skaters and special guest appearances by Deepak Saini and 2nd place regional champion junior-level men's skater Christopher Darling.

"I'm excited to see how great it's going to look and to see how the kids are going to do," Moon said. "They love it, that's for sure."

Danielle Michard, Vice President of the Casper Figure Skating Club, said that if Christopher Darling doesn't impress the audience, the 4 - and 5-year-old group's Western film medley is sure to capture their hearts.

"It should be an awful lot of fun," Michard said. "It's more than just a recital -- it's a good show. It's about as professional as it can get considering that it's a bunch of ameteur kids skating."
