" I respond with evidence ... Dick Morris statements in an effort to set the record straight on Hillary's history.
For those of you who don't know Dick Morris was the political advisor to Bill Clinton during his White House years. He was about as close to the Clintons as anyone during that time. I am reposting his comments concerning Hillary.
"If you happen to see the Bill Clinton five minute TV ad for Hillary in which he introduces the commercial by saying that he wants to share some things we may not know about Hillary's background . . .
beware .
As I was there for most of their presidency and know them better than just about anyone, I offer a few corrections;
Bill says: "Hillary spent a year after graduation working on a children's rights project for poor kids."

The facts are : Hillary interned with Bob Truehaft, the head of the California Communist Party. She met Bob when he represented the Panthers and traveled all the way to San Francisco to take an internship with him.

Bill says: "Hillary could have written her own job ticket, but she turned down all the lucrative job offers."
The facts are: She flunked the DC bar exam, yes, flunked, it is a matter of record, and only passed the Arkansas bar. She had no job offers in Arkansas, none, and only got hired by the University of Arkansas Law School at Fayetteville because Bill was already teaching there. She did not join the prestigious Rose Law Firm until Bill became Arkansas Attorney General and was made a partner only after he was elected Arkansas Governor.

Bill says: "President Carter appointed Hillary to the Legal Services Board of Directors and she became its chairman."

The facts are: The appointment was in exchange for Bill's support for Carter in his 1980 primary against Ted Kennedy. Hillary then became chairman in a coup in which she won a majority away from Carter's choice to be chairman.

Bill says: "She served on the board of the Arkansas Children's Hospital."
The facts are: Yes she did. But her main board activity, not mentioned by Bill, was to sit on the Wal-mart board of directors, for a substantial fee. She was silent about their labor and health care practices.

Bill says: "Hillary didn't succeed at getting health care for all Americans in 1994 but she kept working at it and helped to
create the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) that provides five million children with health insurance."

The facts are: Hillary had nothing to do with creating CHIP. It
was included in the budget deal between Clinton and Republican Majority Leader Senator Trent Lott. I know; I helped to negotiate the deal. The money came half from the budget deal and half from the Attorney Generals' tobacco settlement. Hillary had nothing to do with either source of funds.

Bill says: "Hillary was the face of America all over the world."
The facts are: Her visits were part of a program to get her out of town so that Bill would not appear weak by feeding stories that Hillary was running the White House. Her visits abroad were entirely touristic and symbolic and there was no substantive diplomacy on any of them.

" I have been a registered Republican for years. I am switching my party affiliation first thing in the morning! I will not miss my opportunity to vote for the first woman to run for President. Geraldine Ferraro (the woman from Colorado) was invited to the ticket, not showing any initiative of her own. My respect for Hillary Clinton is due, in large part, to her involvement with the Children's Defense Fund, her determination to be a substantial contributor to public service under her husband's administration, and her resilience in surviving every negative campaign waged against her. Despite brutal treatment by many in the media and in the Republican Party. Despite it all, she STILL puts the wellbeing of her constituents first. She has strong faith, is a loyal partner, a remarkable mother, and has larger cajones than most men who oppose her candidacy. As for the idea that the time has come for a President of color, I think that would be great, too. Still, I will stick with Hillary Clinton. Women fought for sufferage to get the right to vote and were told to "wait" while political machines pushed for the vote for Black men first. Like the "good little woman", we shut up and waited for a later turn. It feels like history is repeating itself, and women are being asked to "don't fight so hard" so Obama can create a groundswell of support. I hope other women join me in saying, "This time, it's OUR time!" "

" if we are going to quote Dick Morris we should really understand some things about Dick Morris. This is a rogue political advisor who goes where the money and fame are. Just to cite facts, go to his website, he is such an patriot that he hawks his crap about the Clintons by selling bogus videos about Hillary for $30.00 while charging $25.00 to subscribe to his site. The internet is a wonderful place and the accomplishments of Mrs. Clinton while she was First Lady are out there for the searching, the real facts. SHCIP was the compromise she ended up making after her health plan met resistance. As to the claim that she worked for the head of the American Communist Party, more lies. The story is made clear on Politifact.com, who's sole purpose is to debunk myths like this about all politicians. Truth is she went to work for a firm that he had been a partner of however, he left the communist party in 1958, long before she ever heard of them. She worked there for civil rights and childrens rights and another partner is quoted as saying “I think she did something that was relatively noble and altruistic when she was a young woman,” Burnstein said.
I could go on and on but you get the picture. She is a strong capable leader and we would be lucky to have such an educated experienced woman as the President of the United States. I have seen such vitriol from Obama supporters since they "lost" yesterday as to frighten me. The immaturity rings loud and clear. I responded to a blog on Talkiing Points Memo.com this morning saying that Clinton only won on the coasts, Ca, Fl, NY and Ohio (?) and that old people were the only reason. I gently told her that the only water in Ohio was in the form of lakes and "old" people like me (51) have seen far more politics than she is due to see for a very long time. I do not believe our brains had not yet melted down sufficiently to cause us to blindly pull the Hillary lever. We are educated, mature Americans who know the difference between a leader and a snake oil salesman. Wyoming and the states to come will have an historic role going forward. A role they have never played before and the choices that are made should be based on fact, not veiled innuendo from a disgrunted ex employee. Take the time to get to know Hillary and the things she has accomplished and then vote your consciences. Whatever you decide to do, I am sure you will do America proud.

" I would be thrilled to have a woman for president. I am a woman. But I don't see Hillary Clinton as the right woman for President. Her role in her husband's habitual abuse of women is not what I would call a strong woman or a feminist. She does not represent the women like my grandmother who fought women's suffrage. Hillary did not just lovingly forgive and forget like a good woman when her husband slipped up one time in their marriage. Hillary enabled Bill's abuse of women. He was a sexual predator and this nation witnessed it. Very publicly was Monica. She was only 21 years old. More disturbing is the claims of Juanita Broddrick. Her interview which aired on national TV was viewed by all. She was credible. She did not want to come forward. She claimed to have been threatened and intimidated by Hillary Clinton. No surprise when you are on the way to the White House and it is your personal goal to step stone your own way to the White House. Juanita's story was never debunked. It just was silence it was so bad, and the nation was pretty tired then. That was then, and this is now.

I hope someone who can attend the rally with Hillary at the College can ask her about Juanita Broddrick. I wish some of the past questions could get asked. If the Clintons are going to surface nationally again, then they should answer some of the long lost questions.

Her incredible grasp of the challenges that we face everyday on many facets, especially on the economy, healthcare, foreign policy, environment, security, war in Iraq and other issues put her way on top of her opponent.

Sadly, in this election, we became acutely aware of broken loyalties and alliances between long time colleagues, with friendships put on hold. Before the end of the day, we hope that there is recognition of which candidate is best prepared to lead our country to address those issues hands on. I believe that Senator Clinton has passed the most rigorous tests by the American people personally and professionally and more than qualified to be our 44th President. I pray that the choices we make are based on judgment on what is best for the country, and there's never a doubt, that is Hillary Clinton. God bless America"

She understands people that have to work hard for a living and the men in Wyoming are no strangers to hard work. She's smart, capable, caring and knows the ropes of Congress. After President Clinton left office, Senator Clinton was capable of working closely with many of the same Senators that tried to impeach President Clinton for his misconduct. This must have been difficult since many of them had been hypocritically having affairs outside their marriages at the same time he was being tried. Despite their great hypocrisy, Hillary was big enough to rise above any grievance she might have had and did what was right for the country. She will show the same kind of class as President and do what's right domestically and internationally. Obama's a great guy, but he's not ready quite yet. We've certainly had enough male presidents. Perhaps it would be helpful to have a slightly different perspective for a change. How could it possibly hurt? "

Or, as women we should unite for our sisterhood and stand with our candidate?? Say whaaat? I wouldn't vote for a man because he was a man, an African American because he was an African American or a woman because I'm a woman. I vote for the best candidate, period (who in this case, happens to be a black man).

At the end of the day, we need a strong candidate that sets themselves APART from McCain. Who can win on an entirely different platform. I fail to see how another Clinton (after 12 yrs. combined of Bush and 8 yrs. of Clinton) strays from "politics as usual". Lobbyists have funded much of her campaign, which speaks volumes. All I see in this future is the same old..apathy and powerlessness.

The "change" that Obama refers to is a fresh perspective on running a for-the-people government. He has an incredible capacity to inspire and get the average citizen more involved, he has organized and empowered an unprecedented grassroots movement, he has real "on the street" experience, he is gifted in oration which can be used to strengthen our international relationships, he is entirely funded by people such as you and me (and has amassed 4 times the $$ Hillary has garnered, even with her special interest donors), he is extremely intelligent, sharp and honest, he is trained in constitutional law AND I believe he will be the only candidate who can replace our mounting 'code orange' fear with hope, realism, cohesion and a real focus on rebuilding American soil.

I am afraid I am one of those who may have to vote for McCain or write in HIllary's name if Obama is the nominee. I was just looking at a poll this evening on Realclearpolitics.com that said fully 25 per cent of Hillary's supporters will not vote for Obama while only 10 per cent of those supporting Obama won't vote for Hillary. There is no way we can give away 25 per cent of the vote.

" Please, for the record let’s compare the actual candidate’s performance as legislators, documented facts without any spin.

Senator Clinton, who has served only one full term (6 years), and another year campaigning, has managed to author and pass into law, (20) twenty pieces of legislation in her first six years.
These bills can be found on the website of the Library of Congress (www.loc.gov), but to save you trouble, I'll post them here for you.

1. Establish the Kate Mullany National Historic Site.
2. Support the goals and ideals of Better Hearing and Speech Month.
3. Recognize the Ellis Island Medal of Honor.
4. Name courthouse after Thurgood Marshall.
5. Name courthouse after James L. Watson.
6. Name post office after Jonn A. O'Shea.
7. Designate Aug. 7, 2003, as National Purple Heart Recognition Day.
8. Support the goals and ideals of National Purple Heart Recognition Day.
9. Honor the life and legacy of Alexander Hamilton on the bicentennial of his death.
10. Congratulate the Syracuse Univ. Orange Men's Lacrosse Team on winning the championship.
11. Congratulate the Le Moyne College Dolphins Men's Lacrosse Team on winning the championship.
12. Establish the 225th Anniversary of the American Revolution Commemorative Program.
13. Name post office after Sergeant Riayan A. Tejeda.
14. Honor Shirley Chisholm for her service to the nation and express condolences on her death.
15. Honor John J. Downing, Brian Fahey, and Harry Ford, firefighters who lost their lives on duty.

Only five of Clinton's bills are more substantive.

16. Extend period of unemployment assistance to victims of 9/11.
17. Pay for city projects in response to 9/11
18. Assist landmine victims in other countries.
19. Assist family caregivers in accessing affordable respite care.
20. Designate part of the National Forest System in Puerto Rico as protected in the wilderness preservation system.

There you have it, the facts straight from the Senate Record.

Now, I would post Obama's legislation, but the list is too substantive, so I'll mainly categorize. During the first eight (8) years of his elected service he sponsored over 820 bills. He introduced

233 regarding healthcare reform,
125 on poverty and public assistance,
112 crime fighting bills,
97 economic bills,
60 human rights and anti-discrimination bills,
21 ethics reform bills,
15 gun control,
6 veterans affairs and many others.
During his first year in the U.S. Senate, he authored 152 bills and co-sponsored another 427. These included:
**the Coburn-Obama Government Transparency Act of 2006 (became law),
**The Lugar-Obama Nuclear Non-proliferation and Conventional Weapons Threat Reduction Act, (became law),
**The Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act, passed the Senate,
**The 2007 Government Ethics Bill, (became law),
**The Protection Against Excessive Executive Compensation Bill, (in committee),
and many more.

In all since entering the U.S. Senate, Senator Obama has written 890 bills and co-sponsored another 1096. This is an impressive record for someone who supposedly has no record according to the spin meisters and mindless twits. I challenge Clinton supporters to name a single legislative accomplishment that demonstrates her superior experience.

I don't think Hillary 'is racking up victories in the states that matter most in the general election'. By your statement Wyoming shouldn't matter. Furthermore, statistically Obama does a lot better with independents than Clinton. Every poll indicates Obama beats McCain by a larger margin than Clinton, if Clinton even beats McCain. Finally, there is very little difference between Obama and Clinton when you examine their policies. Health care is the most dramatic, but the difference is in terms of membership in a plan.

To Democrats: Please think long and hard and honestly about the candidates and the issues. For one thing, when a candidate touts himself as an agent of change but then runs not as an independent but instead under the cover of party affiliation, that is not true change. And it's easy to have an opinion about Hillary's war power's vote from far away in Illinois. It's quite another to be privy to intelligence info that was not made public and then have to vote.

Remember, too, that Hillary represents NY. I lived right across the river from the WTC at the time of the attack. I felt the pier I was standing on shake. If you didn't live at Ground Zero, you really don't know what it did to all of us in the area. Even antiwar Dems like me were forever altered.

I know Hillary was representing the majority of her constituents when she voted. Barack has not walked in her shoes. Nor has he withstood the kind of scrutiny that Hillary has. We know she has fortitude. She moves on in spite of the hateful invective and lies that have been spawned about her.

You might not like her personality, which in person comes thru much differently, but she has concrete plans for improving the economy--something she's familiar with. It's TANGIBLES that give me hope. As Gov. Mario Cuomo says, "You need the prose with the poetry."

We know what Hillary's mistake was, and as a former NJ/NY'er at Ground Zero, I understand it and forgive it, and it's fitting that she work to fix it.

Obama is not ready yet. He needs the seasoning that he could get as VP. People with star quality like Obama and Bill Clinton have particularly large Achilles heels. Will Obama's hubris manifest in ways that hurt him--and us--if we put him in office too early?

One can only HOPE not.

That aside here are teh facts-

1. Regardless of who you want, it is a virtual IMPOSSIBILITY for Hilary to win the nomination.

2. The only way she could realistically win would be if the super delegates went against the wishes of the voting democrats of America.

3. If the super delegates were so stupid as to go against the wishes of their voters they would be without question killing any chance of winning the general.

Which leads me to my conclusion.

Obama will get your nomination, and he is the best shot you have at having a Democrat for president.

" Why vote for Hillary Clinton in the Democratic Primaries? I think Jack Nicholson may have said it best: "She's the best man for the job." It's time men and women in this country realize this.

Hillary is the "Iron Lady" with an "iron will." I know of no other woman in American politics today, or in the foreseeable future, who has withstood "so much, for so long, for so many." She has withstood a barrage of attacks, fair and unfair, as a First Lady, a mother, a wife, a Senator, and a Presidential Candidate, from the press and the public alike. For some reason we all like to vet her. But her record overall will show that she has stood for what is and/or what would have been good for America.

As Commander-in-Chief, Hillary Clinton will be unflinching in the preservation of our national security yet will be understanding of the needs of our troops. As General Shelton said, “I’ve been with Senator Clinton when she has been with our military men and women. I know from those experiences that she understands the demands and sacrifice of military life. I am confident she will always put the readiness and well being of our troops first. She is ready to be Commander-in-Chief.” General Shelton served two terms as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff under Presidents Clinton and George W. Bush. He ought to know if she's ready and he says she is.

On the domestic front, Hillary Clinton experienced first-hand both the Clinton and Bush administrations, as a First Lady and an active participant in her husband Bill's administration, and as a two-term Senator during W.'s administration. She comprehends at multiple levels the domestic problems confronting us -- what worked in the past, what didn't work, what's changed and what needs to be changed to make our economy and health care systems work for all of us again.

She is by far the superior candidate in this race for the Democratic nomination. I ask all of you who have opposed her to take a long hard, second look, casting your biases and pre-judgments aside, and I believe you will inevitably come to the same conclusion I have --

This country needs Hillary Clinton to be the next President of the United States. Please give her your unbiased and full-fledged support. "

Your solution seems to be sexist. Since I am black can I only vote for Mr. Obama? Wouldn't that make me a racist?

Surely you have more to your person than only your gender and all other values as merely an after thought?

I would ask all to look at the economic and social policies of all three candidates and then try to figure out how they will affect our now sagging economy. None have offered an effective plan with any long term legs. Both Hillary and Barak have said that they'll dump tons of federal dollars (our tax money) into the economy. That is only a very short term dodge to shore up our markets and in the longer term will have a true negative affect. They both have proposed increased taxes which will make for a business unfriendly economic environment and more jobs will be "out sourced" over seas. Is this healthy for the economy (no is the correct answer for those in the back of the classroom). "

Of the other five defendants, three have donated to the Clintons or to Clinton supporters, three have donated mostly to Republicans, and at least two have donated to Obama’s political opponents. None have donated to Obama.

Sometimes I do wonder if Penn isn't a misogynist, but what is abundantly clear is that Senator Clinton truly does not give a darn about us, or about the future of this country. What I have learned from her candidacy is that, corruption doesn't look any better with a handbag and pumps.

I've been watching candidates on both sides of the aisle carefully since the Dems made advances in Fall 2006, and of them all, the most truthful have all been fringe and with no chance of winning (e.g. Ron Paul, Dennis Kucinich) - except Obama and to a lesser extent McCain.

" Look - character counts. How people act under stress is how they truly are. And the people you treat the worst are the people who know your true character the best.

Take a look at Hillary now - when she's trying to win you over - and on her "best" behavior and think about how that arrogance, that rudeness, the lack of genuine respect for others is really going to translate on the world stage. Bill's going to have to go into overdrive trying to repair relatsionships that she's going to run over at economic summits and other negotiations. There's a lot of difference between hosting a State Dinner and working with national leaders about what needs to be done in Europe about Kosovo when you have a world power like Russia opposing their independence and western Europe trying to balance their need for Russia's gas and oil with the US position that Kosovo's independence is a good thing.

She reminds me of one of those junior high girls who who really gets a personal thrill out of the fight. And if you read her biography you'll see that her mom telling her to go out and hit anyone who picked on her was an extremely important event for her. She had fights with other boys as well. And while some might say "oh, good for her" - wouldn't you start to wonder about someone (boy or girl) who constantly seemed to find a reason to resort to physical fights?

Hillary has a lot of history - and I know people like to say "oh, those are just a bunch of Hillary-haters". Well, next time you're in Borders take a look at the jackets on those books and you'll start to notice that many of those stories are coming from Democrats and others who worked with and for the Clintons.

She likes to talk about how she's ready to be commander in chief on day one. But the Clintons were very negative towards the military. Did you know that 250,000 of our servicemen were laid off during their administration. One of the reasons we have so many of our National Guard over in Iraq and so many of your servicemen are on extended rotations is because the Armed Services was cut so drastically in the Clinton years. Yet the Clinton administration sent our troops into 40 different operations during the 8 years - places like Haiti and Bosnia. Yet when we had an actual attack on our soil or our embassies - the World Trade Center in 93 - and then in two different embassies and the Cole - apart from a few cruise missiles - nothing was done.

There are a lot of democratic women Governors, Senators and Congresswomen there who have done their own work. Gov. Kathleen Sebelius of Kansas is one of those.

Hillary's experience adds up to 20 years as a First Lady of Arkansas and the White House and then 8 as a Senator. If she didn't keep overstating her experience and pointed to actual legislation she's sponsored and passed, I could deal with it.

However, she's an experienced campaigner (3 Presidential campaigns, 2 Senate Campaigns, and 3 Governor campaigns - and a major fundraisier - so she knows how to speak and work a crowd and I'm sure she'll do a good job at the rally.

But Hillary in the White House - that's experience our country doesn't need to repeat. "

Illinois State Senate 1996 - 2004

* Welfare legislation

* Created the Earned Income Tax Credit program that gave over $100 million in tax cuts for families throughout Illinois over 3 years.

* Expanded early childhood education

* Enlisted the support of law enforcement officials to draft legislation requiring the videotaping of interrogations and confessions in all capital cases.

* He passed a law to monitor racial profiling by requiring police to record the race of drivers they stopped. The law was at first very controversial, but due to Obama's skills as a negotiator and bipartisanships, he won the support of the police. During his 2004 general election campaign for U.S. Senate, he won the endorsement of the Illinois Fraternal Order of Police, whose president credited Obama for his active engagement with police organizations in enacting death penalty reforms.

* Pass the toughest campaign finance law in Illinois history. The legislation banned the personal use of campaign money by Illinois legislators and banned most gifts from lobbyists. Worked with U.S. Sen. Paul Simon (D-IL), 1988. Before the law was passed, one organization ranked Illinois worst among 50 states for its campaign finance regulations.

* Created a working, affordable health care plan in Illinois, that covers 70,000 kids and 84,000 adults, where all kids qualify for $40 per child. Obama sponsored and passed this legislation, working with Rod R. Blagojevich(IL Gov.) See All Kids http://www.allkids.com/ . It is a model for a workable, affordable national health care. "

While Hillary Clinton battles Barack Obama on the campaign trail, a judge in Los Angeles is quietly preparing to set a trial date in a $17 million fraud suit that aims to expose an alleged culture of widespread corruption by the Clintons and the Democratic Party.

At the conclusion of a hearing tomorrow morning before California Superior Court Judge Aurelio N. Munoz, lawyers for Hollywood mogul Peter F. Paul will begin seeking sworn testimony from all three Clintons – Bill, Hillary and Chelsea – along with top Democratic Party leaders and A-list celebrities, including Barbra Streisand, John Travolta, Brad Pitt and Cher.

Paul's team hopes for a trial in October. The Clintons' longtime lawyer David Kendall, who will attend the hearing, has declined comment on the suit.

The Clintons have tried to dismiss the case, but the California Supreme Court, in 2004, upheld a lower-court decision to deny the motion.

And it was the Clinton campaign who told the canadians to forget what she said about NAFTA. Don't be fooled like Ohio, & Texas. "

" TO ALL RANCHERS:

BEWARE OF BARACK OBAMAS ANTI-RANCHER STATEMENTS HE MADE, AT THE LAS VEGAS DEBATE.

Obama: We should work towards a reasonable compromise that protects federal land from overgrazing and recovers more of the cost of administering the grazing programs, yet also takes into account the effects on small and medium-sized ranchers.

Barack Obama: I understand that the American West is facing a serious crisis. In the long run, we will not have enough water to meet the fast-growing needs of city residents, farmers, ranchers, Native Americans and wildlife. The demand is increasing; the supply is not. It is time for Americans to become proactive in our efforts to resolve the problem. Crisis management is not a long-term solution. To accomplish that goal, we need a commitment at the federal level to a problem-solving initiative that will help manage scarce water resources, and develop partnerships to nourish a healthy environment and sustain a vibrant economy. In addition, federal policies are needed to encourage voluntary water banks, wastewater treatment and other market-based measures, improve technology for water conservation and efficiency, and remove institutional barriers to increase cooperation and collaboration among federal, state, tribal and private organizations.

COMPARE TO HILLARY CLINTON:

Clinton: I recognize and respect the long tradition of providing low cost grazing leases on our public lands. I do not believe that major changes need to be made in this area. I strongly support the state-based advisory councils that have been used to help identify lands that may no longer be suitable for grazing and to put appropriate conditions on leases to ensure that public resources are protected.

Hillary Clinton: As a general matter, state law governs the transfer of water rights, and I do not believe that the federal government should usurp state water law. Where the federal government has both primacy and legal authority, I favor water transfers where the interested parties can agree on terms, such as the sharing arrangements that have enabled the state of Nevada to store some of its Colorado River water entitlement in Arizona. When transfers involving federal jurisdiction do occur, it is vital that environmental and social impacts be fully considered and evaluated

Mr. Obama recalled the opening lines of the Arabic call to prayer, reciting them with a first-rate accent. In a remark that seemed delightfully uncalculated (it’ll give Alabama voters heart attacks), Mr. Obama described the call to prayer as ”one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at sunset.”

Moreover, Mr. Obama’s own grandfather in Kenya was a Muslim. Mr. Obama never met his grandfather and says he isn’t sure if his grandfather’s two wives were simultaneous or consecutive, or even if he was Sunni or Shiite. (O.K., maybe Mr. Obama should just give up on Alabama.)

By 2004, he publically said that he wasn't sure how he would have voted. Give me a break!

The military/national guard and their families have sacrificed alot for this country. Iraq is what it is...the surge is working. However, we need to make sure that the next president has a plan for moving us forward. It's pointless to keep rehashing who voted for or against whatever.

Good judgement & great leadership is about having a plan, having solutions to complicated problems, being able to see the forest through the trees! That's why HIllary Clinton has got my vote! He is a lepor and a hate monger. He has no other means of making a living.
Pleople need to research the facts and stay out of the kool aid. Stop reading the blobs and the hate. That's what I've done and have made up my mind.
When a canidates' only theme is change and the need to change the political environment in DC, his character needs to be above the norm. I feel that even the appearance of wrongdoing be checked.
I'd start with his autobiography. Even David Axelrod stared there were 'embellishments' to make the story more interesting. He has led a privileged life, private school in Hawaii, Columbia, Harvard. I found his scholl days interesting. Check out Dan Armstrong who worked with him in the 1980's, http://www.analyzethis.net.
Of biggest interest to me is the Obama mansion land deal and ties to Tony Rezko. This will make whitewater look like a walk in the park. I can't end without bringing up race. I am convinced the most of it has been injected by the Obama group themselves. I spent about eight hours a couple Saturdays ago watching the State of the Black Nation. The convention was held in New Orleans to promote the city and economy. All four canidates were invited to speak. The only one that accepted the invitation was Clinton. Obama was to busy campaigning in Texas and Ohio. I felt sorry for Tavis Smiley, who has to say it was a 'missed opportunity'. He was to busy to take four hours to support the plite of the black people. I say it speaks volumes about Obama's character!
I'm sorry to say that I believe he has been running for president long before he got to the US Senate. Obama is about Obama! And, yes Toto, actions do speak louder that words.

The three most egregious categories are:

1) Irregularities: Prematurely Taking Precinct Convention Packets by Obama Campaign
2) Voter Intimidation: Lock-out of Clinton caucus goers by Obama Campaign
3) Numerous instances of Obama supporters filing out precinct convention sign-in sheets during the day and submitting them as completed vote totals at caucus. This is expressly against the rules. The sign-in sheets were copied by the Obama campaign from the Texas Democratic Party website and taken by supporters to various polling places to sign-up caucus goers prior to the start of the caucuses

Now Hillary wants to change the rules because she won them both. She will do anything to win. Hillary was the only candidate that kept her name on the Michigan ballot. Hillary had this planned from the beginning to steal the vote their. It is alright to bring out what you have to offer and what your opponent(s) lack but race, religion and falsehoods should not be apart of any political race. You should want to win but not sell your soul to do it. This just shows what Hillary’s true colors are by showing support for John McCain over Obama. Is Hillary really a Democrat or a Republican in disguise? Hillary shows signs of a true Republican. Is Hillary the kind of person (not revealing her taxes) that should be in the Whitehouse I have even seen FOX news try to associate Senator Obama with terrorists (and they say Hillary had more bad press). You cannot go anymore negative than to portray someone as a terrorist like FOX news (and the Clinton campaign) tried to do with Senator Obama. Hillary never had to go through anything nearly as horrible as that. I have seen them play the video of Hillary on SNL at least 50 times yet no one has played this positive video http://youtube.com/watch?v=jjXyqcx-mYY about Senator Obama. It seems like she is receiving much more positive press than Senator Obama is receiving. With over 30 Million views on YouTube, Google Video and others, it is easily the most viewed video in a 30 day period. I guarantee if this video is shown on the air (nationally) as much as the Hillary’s SNL appearance was, it will mean many more votes for Obama. Once looking at this video it will be apparent that he is a unifier (White, Black, Hispanic etc.) not a divider like Hillary Clinton. My fellow Americans, let us unite not be drawn apart.

Now we know that the NAFTA promise came from the Clinton campaign, her campaign actually called the Canadian government and not Obama’s people. Hillary Clinton’s people called the Canadian government and assured them that her talk about NAFTA should be “taken with a gain of salt”, that nothing will change with NAFTA. Knowing all this Hillary had the nerve to try to put Obama’s in that very position, can she be anymore deceitful than that. Hillary Clinton is trying to switch the blame to someone else for what she and her people did. For the ones who believe in the Bible, The ninth commandment states “Thou shall not bear false witness” or for those who do not believe do not “perpetrate a fraud” (lie) on someone else. Hillary Clinton has now lied in the worse possible way by blaming others for what she did. If Hillary Clinton were in a court of law, she would have committed perjury. Does Hillary Clinton even know how to be truthful? Let’s see how much press this receives it most likely will not receive half the press as Senator Obama did. STOP THE LIES HILLARY!!! Ask yourselves my fellow Americans, what has Hillary really done for America. Let us go down the list: NAFTA, The Iraq War, Whitewater Gate, Racial Jokes, etc.. I think it reflects poorly on Mr. Obama to question the process now that it might now be to his advantage. If it was to his advantage, I doubt very much he would be saying thing. win the election. She has on several occasions praised McCain over Obama. Superdelegates should be made aware of

this.

4. Pursuit For Power - Newsweek suggested that the Clintons would pursue power at any expense - "The conventional

view is that the Clintons approach power the way hard-core gun owners approach a weapon—they'll give it up only

when it's wrenched from their cold, dead fingers."
http://www.newsweek.com/id/114725/page/2

5. War In Iraq - Bush Snr did not invade Iraq during the first Gulf War for geopolitical reasons. Compare this 1994 Dick

Cheyney interview to what is happening in Iraq today. Obama understood this and did not believe the fabricated WMD

intelligence. Hillary voted in favor of the Iraq War because she believed it was going to be popular and she did not want to

put her presidential ambitions at risk. She did not care about thousands of lives or billions of dollars the war would cost.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6BEsZMvrq-I&feature=related

6. Clinton Tax Returns - Hillary can get her staff to Xerox the tax returns. Instead she claimed that she is too busy. The

real reason is that the Clintons do not wish to disclose their use of offshore tax havens and sources of income. Publicly

Hillary has stated she wants to close tax loopholes. Clintons don't do what they preach.

Hillary has no compunction about going into Obama's past and dragging out the most trivial of happenings.

If I had a past like Hillary's, I would leave the past alone! If her "experience" is based on her time as 1st lady while in Arkansas, then her experience is filled with gun and drug running, drug use, money laundering, a long list of witnesses (to their antics)who ended up dead! Dr. Samuel houston tells of Bill Clinton's cocaine use and treatment by Dr Suen at the Little Rock Medical Center. Hillary's PAST is is pretty sordid.

Barack Obama has been very gentle about Hillary's past... (I'm sure he knows of it!) He has been trying to run a campaign on the "high road". I don't know how much longer he can, with Hillary distorting HIS past.

If you have 10 minutes free, please watch "Hillary (3 of 11) does NOT want you to see these chronicles" on YouTube.com ......Usually these things are utter garbage. I don't think you will think that of this video!

October 10, 2002: Floor Speech of Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton on S.J. Res. 45: “My vote is not, however, a vote for any new doctrine of pre-emption, or for uni-lateralism, or for the arrogance of American power or purpose -- all of which carry grave dangers for our nation, for the rule of international law and for the peace and security of people throughout the world. …I urge the President to spare no effort to secure a clear, unambiguous demand by the United Nations for unlimited inspections. …A vote for it is not a vote to rush to war; it is a vote that puts awesome responsibility in the hands of our President and we say to him - use these powers wisely and as a last resort.”

Anyway, the vitriol I've been reading in the comments in this story and related ones saddens me as a lifelong Democrat.

Don't those of you who have posted nasty messages realize you are playing right into GOP hands?

I'm a Pennsylvanian, and in six weeks I will cast my vote proudly for Sen. Obama. Why? Because he's running a 50-state campaign and has a much better chance of defeating Sen. McCain than does Sen. Clinton.

If you don't believe my assertion, please go to www.surveyusa.com and see the results of their 50-state polling. The evidence is clear and abundant that Obama is the superior candidate in the fall.

The reality is this: At the end of the primary season, Obama will have more pledged delegates and higher popular-vote totals than Clinton. He will be the nominee, and I'm not sure what Clinton is doing in this race, other than giving McCain attack points to use in the fall against Obama.

Keep in mind, I say this as someone who has great admiration for Hillary Clinton. She'd make a fine president, I believe, and should she, by some miracle, emerge as the nominee, she will have my vote.

But the reality is this: Obama is the stronger candidate, and if it had been he who had lost 11 straight contests, he certainly would have dropped out of the race.

Anyway, that's my 2 cents. It's too bad Pennsylvania has a primary. It seems from what I've seen on TV that caucuses produce a lot of excitement.

Happy caucusing, folks, and God bless our wonderful country! "

You people are out of your minds! I would be very carefull about using the Bible to help Hillarys campaign. Last I heard, her hubby Bill was pretty good at lying and commiting adultry. Which by the way still makes me sick to think about. No one is perfect, and maybee we should all "turn the other cheek" more often.

I can't believe that we as a country would allow someone like her to get even close to winning the presidancy! She didn't have the backbone to divorce her husband after his cheating on her. You expect me to believe that she would have the backbone to run this country if we were to have another terrorist attack? I don't think so. If we get attacked by terrorists, what is she going to do? Offer to take them to her and Bills counsiling session? Yea... I guess in her little world she would just get on Air Force One and fly over there and give whoever is being Mr. grumpy terrorist leader a big ol' hug. Well..... at least at the counseling session Bill could get a break and let the terrorist get slapped around by her. "

1. I am not a loyal Dem. I am an independent who disagrees with the Clinton and Karl Rove politics of half-truths and falsehoods. I am here because I seek the type of change Obama offers.

2. We cannot have only two families running this country. It will erode our democracy and make politics even more corrupt than what it is today.

3. The Monica scandal is what I can best remember about the Clinton years in the White House. For months newspapers all over the world ran the Monica story. Bill embarrassed us all. Any self respecting woman would have left him rather than be humiliated. Hillary stuck with him to pursue her ambition. It wasn't only Monica, there were others: Paula Jones, Jennifer Flowers etc. Hillary was an enabler and never showed any empathy towards the women Bill used.

4. There were other scandals such as Travelgate, Whitewater...etc etc.

5. The Democrats had the Presidency and majority in Congress. Yet Hillary failed to bring in health care reform. Her selfish, aggressive and divisive manner made her more enemies than friends.

6. Bill Clinton lied to the country (that woman) and was impeached. By the end of his presidency Democrats had lost their majority in Congress and a few governorships, and then lost the election to none other than Bush. And today we are living the legacy of the Clinton years. To me his presidency was a failure.

7. Hillary's politics are closely aligned with those of George Bush. If the Republican Party were to offer her a path to presidency, she'd probably jump ship. "

The Bush structuring of the economy is designed to keep the oil and munitions companies wealthy; shop off American investments overseas, including manufacturing; crush wages to reduce worker expectations; distract attention from the loss of necessary services; and try to set up any successor to fail by having to raise taxes.

However, a sharp successor, knowing all this, will be able to tackle it and get it done.

Hillary Clinton cannot do that. She still does not understand the damage to the economy the war has wrought; her economic policies are just revisions of Bill's.

I believe Barack Obama can do it. I believe he understands the real costs of this war, he will end it. I believe he grasps the essentials of the global economy, and he intends to redesign our strategies in dealing with it so that it benefits rather than hurts the American people. Yes, he can. "

Scott wrote on Mar 7, 2008 11:37 PM:

" Obama offers something the others can't:
1. As Jason Whitlock from the Kansas City Star points out, one of the biggest problems our country has is that many African-American youths see the Hip-Hop/Rap/Prison culture as desirable. A significant portion of white, Hispanic, and Asian youths are attracted to this as well.
2. As Jason also points out, the Jesse Jackson's of the country provide poor leadership for the African-American community because they promote a victimization attitude. If your group's leaders constantly tell you that white people are racist and that there still is institutional racism all around, the leaders are enablers, enabling a "poor me" and "why bother" attitude.
3. I understand why the Jesse Jackson's of the world have given this type of leadership. Being born in 1941, he witnessed a lot of institutional and casual racism in his life. His generation is scared by that and it impacts their leadership.
4.Obama did not grow up with that context. He doesn't seem to be promoting the "you are a victim" mentality. Instead he seems to be saying "put down the video game and pick up a book." Not only that, he is a great role model. The lesson is: if you get an education and apply yourself you too can become president some day. His election is the ultimate evidence that us white folks are not racist and that the Jesse Jackson generation's claims of institutional racism are outdated.
5. If Obama, a black president, tells inner city kids to get their acts together, study, and become successful like me, it has much more chance of working than if this message comes from Hillary or John McCain.
6. You can give a teacher a $10,000 raise and give a kid a 2008 textbook instead of a 2003 textbook, but that's still not going to get the kid to study. I know; I'm a teaching in an inner city. However, electing Obama might get that kid to study that textbook, no matter if it's a 2001 edition. (P.S. I could still use the raise to keep up with COLA.)
7. Conclusion: Barrack can hire a McCain to advise him on foreign policy, but Hillary and McCain can't hire an Obama to motivate our African-American youth. After all, what would be the message that Hillary/McCain would be sending? Study hard and maybe someday you can grow up to be my assistant too... ?
8. Vote for Barrack now. If you vote for Hillary, she might hold office for 8 years and then we'll have a Republican in office for 8 years, and it will be 20024 by the time a Democratic Obama has a decent chance of becoming president. Do you really want the Hip-Hop/Rap/Prison culture to continue spreading to our youth for the next 16 years? Vote for Barrack and help the young find a new role model and redefine cool. Remember the effect that JFK had on the youth (Peace Corps, et al)? This is getting ready to happen again if you help it along. "

The problem with your scenario is that JFK was FAR MORE EXPERIENCED THAN OBAMA. He served 4 terms in the House & two terms in the Senate and he was a wounded war hero. Obama has NONE of that.
In addition, as Chris Matthews pointed out--OBAMA is only eloquent on a stage with a TELEPROMPTER. Kennedy was WITTY and SMART--unscripted at press conferences etc.
However-If You don't see any problem with Obama's clearly racist church.
You don't think there's anything wrong with a "non-negotiable commitment to AFRICA" (as opposed to the US)
And you don't think there's anything weird about Obama's links with a first cousin (Mr. Odinga of KENYA) whose SUPPORTERS set fire to a church burning 100 women & children alive.
So, if you don't have any problems with those things then I guess: Rezko, plagiarism, the $200,000 pay increase Mrs. Obama rcd. after her husband became Senator -for the same job (Chicago Sun Times) or bill-jacking ("Obama & Me" Todd Spivak, Houston Press)

Obama was born in Hawaii, the son of a Muslim foreign national who was attending classes there. He spent part of his formative childhood years in Indonesia, the world's most populous Muslim country where "death to America!" demonstrations are commonplace. While there, he attended Muslim schools. His brother, Abongo (do a search for "Abongo Obama") is now a Muslim extremist fighting against the democratically elected government of Kenya. I have heard a lot of people say If this was a white woman screaming, do you think this will still be going on?

Yet a 12 years old white girl was screaming at night, Hillary fabricated affidavit for her rapist against her.

her life was broken for ever, at 12, twice raped by the man, and the lawyer, Hillary clinton.

Two lawyers are running for the democratic nomination:

If you were the one screaming at night, who do you think will defend you?

Hillary fabricated affidavit for a rapist. Thousands of those rapists now live in war torn countries, Hillary is better off defending them than our nation. She sided with her husband against all the women that her husband seduced or coerced into sex.

Hillary’s candidacy is about showing all of you women that she is one of them (men) or can do as well as they do. It is not about the women or the people of this country.

It is about her ego. I will never vote for hillary.

Women's group says world too numb to pay attention to Congo rape victims

(CNN) -- Honorata Kizende was hiding in a house when the soldiers came. They kicked the front door down and found her huddling with her five children and another woman.

Honorata Kizende can smile again after surviving a four-year ordeal that almost destroyed her life

The men asked the women if they were hiding their husbands. We have none, both replied. Then one of the soldiers said something that chilled Kizende, because she knew what was about to happen.

"Today you will have husbands ..."

The men slapped, stripped and raped Kizende. Then they treated her pregnant daughter and friend the same way. The horrific episode could have easily been dismissed as just another brutal act of war in the Democratic Republic of Congo. But her story is now being heard thanks to two women -- an Iraqi-American activist and a small-town California accountant who now calls Kizende her sister.

Thousands of women will gather around the globe Saturday to celebrate the collective power of women during International Women's Day. The event also marks the third anniversary of the day Kizende walked before an audience of dignitaries in Congo and demanded justice for women like herself.

Kizende, 55, is a spokeswoman for Women for Women International, a 16-year-old group that helps rebuild the lives of women victimized by violent conflict in countries such as Kosovo, Iraq and Colombia.

The group was founded by Zainab Salbi, a 38-year-old Iraqi-American who knows something about brutality. She grew up under Saddam Hussein's dictatorship, where people who spoke out were often murdered.

Those who speak out in Congo are treated another way -- they're ignored, Salbi said. An estimated 5.4 million people have died in Congo since 1998. George Rupp, president of the International Rescue Committee, once said the loss of life is equal to the entire population of Colorado dying within a decade.

Yet Salbi said no one is paying attention to another group of victims in the Congo war. Her organization said there are hundreds of thousands of women who have been subjected to gang rape and sexual slavery.

"My image of the Congolese women is that of a scream," Salbi said. "But there is no sound coming from the scream because the world is not hearing it."

That's because the victims are women, she said.

"We are numb," she said. "If I said hundreds and thousands of men were being raped in the Congo, the world would be outraged."

Kizende, whose story was translated for a Women for Women publication, said she was first attacked in 2001. She was the director of a technical institute for girls when she was abducted by soldiers. The soldiers not only raped her but also forced her to carry water and ammunition.

"I did not belong to one person; I was for the use of everyone and anyone who needed me," she was quoted as saying.

Salbi said rape is often used by men to send a message to the men they are fighting: "I am stronger than you. I am taking away your woman, your honor and your manhood."

"I interviewed a man who said that whenever he entered another man's house and that man did not have a gun and he had a gun, he never questioned whether he had the right to rape the man's wife or not," Salbi said. That kind of callousness wasn't just confined to soldiers. It spread to the community. Kizende could not return to her normal life once she escaped the soldiers who attacked her because she became an outcast. Congolese rape victims are often rejected by their husbands and their community. Kizende said her husband left her for another wife after the 2001 attack.

Kizende even tried staying in a friend's house, but he kicked her out.

"He said that I brought bad luck everywhere I go," she said. "When you look at my life and what I have been through, how could you think otherwise?"

In 2004, two months after soldiers assaulted her and her daughter, Kizende joined Women for Women. The group gave her job training, connected her with other women with similar stories and introduced her to an American sponsor.

The sponsor, Virginia Gately, said she received a letter of introduction from Kizende that said: "Excuse me if this topic does not please you, but I need to share this with somebody."

Gately, an accountant who lives in Buellton, California, a small town of horse ranches and wineries near Santa Barbara, said she didn't know what to say to Kizende. She had heard about the plight of Congolese women on "The Oprah Winfrey Show."

"I live this idyllic life," Gately said. "I felt like anything I wrote would be insensitive."

What Kizende needed, though, wasn't words. She wanted someone to hear her story. As Kizende continued to share her story with Gately, the California woman noticed something. Kizende seemed liberated. So did six other women Gately began to write to in countries as diverse as Nigeria and Afghanistan who were also victimized by war.

"What I get back from these women is that they have a voice," Gately said. "They are not as afraid anymore."

Gately said that she's heard that some of the women even sleep with their sponsor's letters under their pillows. She calls Kizende her sister and said she can't envision breaking contact with her.

"How can I possibly stop?" she said. "I expect to do this forever."

Kizende has since traveled around Congo sharing her story with the governor of her province and U.N. staff.

Men often equate valor with soldiers in battle, Salbi said, but she sees another form of courage in Kizende.

"We do not talk about the courage it takes to say to the world that I have been raped and to stand in front of the men in her community and tell them that her pain has a mouth and today it is speaking to you," Salbi said.

Kizende, however, said finding others who listened was more liberating than telling her story.

"It is one thing to have been through what I have been through, but to have no one acknowledge it enhances the pain threefold," she said.

"To suffer in silence is the greatest suffering." E-mail to a friend

Their campaign management can tell us!!
1- Bill Clinton: hillary has shown us time and again that she can't manage bill on the campaign trail. She has never been able to manage bill. he has been a distraction in his own white house and she has to side with him, even when he is wrong, only because of her own ambitions. She is not a good manager on the point of bill.
2-Personel Management: Hillary is not able to manage people. In this campaign, she is pitting staff against each other because as someone said on cnn, she thinks she gets the best out of people when they are fighting each other. It destroyes the staff and she doesn't care: She just wants to squeeze staffers for whatever juice they can produce for her. When they are spent by the infighting, she gets rid of them.
She did the same for the healthcare reform that she forced bill to give to her. infighting and her love of the lobbyists' money killed the project.
3-She has tons of baggage. That it is public knowledge is not an excuse. she is going around collecting kindergarden writting of Obama and wagging it out like a trophee. We have heard it all on her campaign trail.
She can't run her own campaign, or her husband, can she run a SMALL STATE OR country? if she can't then how is she qualified to run the GREATEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD, THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA? "

Obama will negotiate with the Heathcare providers to make insurance cheaper so everyone can afford it.-Supply side economics.
Insurance will be negotiated as well so insurance companies will have to reduce cost of provision as well.

And for those who still can't afford it, the state will pay for it.

Hilary will mandate insurance that is force you to buy insurance -Demand side economics
and for those who can't afford it, state will provide .
Who is the state? you and me, rich or poor.
In hillary clinton's plan, we are still paying high $ prices to insurance and providers, only difference with now, is the fact that it is obligatory. And how will she enforce it? send me to jail? fine me? If I can 't afford it, I just can't and neither could she if she didn't have the money. Neither can ou if you dont' have the dow

I prefer Obama's plan because many countries in the world simply do that. they ask providers to lower their prices, and so the supply chain is revisited. some unecessary costs are removed and so provision is cheaper. so too, insurance become cheap. "

“Professor Obama’s Political Plagiarism”
By SusanUnPC on February 13, 2008 at 7:51 PM

This quote will air tonight at 9:36 pm est. on BLOOMBERG TELEVISION’s “Money & Politics.”
The fact is that Obama’s [economic] plan today is the most shameless piece of potential plagiarism that I have ever seen. He basically took Clinton’s words and Clinton’s policies and called them his own. If I were a professor I’d give him an F and try to get him kicked out of school for something this terrible…If I were on the Clinton team, I’d be prepping memos.

“Those covering Senator Obama’s economic speech in Wisconsin today could be forgiven if it felt like deja vu all over again. Voters may ask themselves that if Senator Obama cannot produce his own ideas on the campaign trail, how will he solve new problems as President?,” asks Neera Tanden, Policy Director for the Clinton campaign.

“Senator Obama’s only ‘new’ ideas were ones that Senator Clinton proposed months ago,” Tanden continues.
FOR STARTERS: His “new” proposal for a national infrastructure bank is one that Hillary proposed August 8, 2007.

His “new” proposal to create 5 million green collar jobs was proposed by Hillary on November 5, 2007.

Google CEO Eric Schmidt praises Hillary’s plan to create 5 million Green Collar jobs, 11/5/07:

“In addition, while Senator Obama was busy resuscitating Hillary’s policies, he failed to offer real solutions for the most pressing economic challenges that Americans families face,” writes
Tanden.

This is not the first time we’ve noted problems with Mr. Obama’s weak or “borrowed” economic plans.

Emil Jones, Jr. appointed Obama sponsor of virtually every high-profile piece of legislation, angering many rank-and-file state legislators who had more seniority than Obama and had spent years championing the bills.

"I took all the beatings and insults and endured all the racist comments over the years from nasty Republican committee chairmen," state Senator Rickey Hendon, the original sponsor of landmark racial profiling and videotaped confession legislation yanked away by Jones and given to Obama, complained to me at the time. "Barack didn't have to endure any of it, yet, in the end, he got all the credit.

"I don't consider it bill jacking," Hendon told me. "But no one wants to carry the ball 99 yards all the way to the 1-yard line and then give it to the halfback who gets all the credit and the stats in the record book."

He started the committee on January, 2007 and he has yet attended one meeting. Afganistan is becoming more violent than Iraq. Afganistan is the largest opium exporter and he has not done anything to prove that he will be good on foreign policy. He is too soft and he actually believes unilateral talks with terrorists countries is the key. He wants to make nice and hope that they all get along. He hopes that his speeches will stop terrorism without sanctions, planning, and meeting with other world leaders. Give me a break he can barely take the press giving him a little scrutiny. I do not want a rookie handling foreign affairs and certainly I do not believe that the presidency should be on the job training. Wyoming residents will choose Hillary because they know at a time of war-remember we are at war with two countries, Hillary is the best qualified. Let Obama at least finish one term as a Senator. Regina. You gotta be kidding me. The Republicans are absolutely SALIVATING about the propspect of Obama winning the Democratic nomination.

Let's see...who can they better attack? Hillary...who has been attacked mercilessly for years without much impact. Or Obama, who will be attacked for the totality of the following:

-has a brother, Abongo (google "Abongo Obama"), who is a Muslim extremist fighting against the democratically elected government of Kenya

All in the face of cowardly name callers working their bolt to embarrass the man, his office and the nation for political expediency and a return of democrats to power. Yes, we all owe George W. Bush our thanks, respect and admiration.

" GOOD JOB Mitchell, you're EXACTLY the kind of no-brain sheep that Karl Rove so easily drove into the slaughter pen. I like how you related the Jr. High justifications for the War For Oil and the ruined economy -written just like a top achieving 8th grader. 20 million Afghans? Better check your fact sheet again. Yeah, the Middle East is really stabile right now. Geez, it's hard to believe there are still broke-brain rednecks out there who think Bush is so great. History will remember him as the WORST President ever. But, we told y'all that way back in 2000, and again in 2004. I guess you'd have to own a house and drive a car, and buy groceries in the real world to know how bad this economy is. But keep living with your fantasy, the real world is too hard for little kids right now. It will be better this time next year. "

" i came here to read others opinions in hopes that the delima i face of not knowing who to vote for yet and this election is going to be real important. but i did not find that.

all across this great nation you will find some pretty smart people who live and work small family farms. they provide us with 3 meals and a few snacks a day. these people farm because they love their work and often make very little profit. they work outside 7 days a week long hours during planting and harvest seasons and seldom get a vacation but they love their work so it does not matter. they work primarily outdoors and wear hats and such to keep protected from the sun. but a hat does not always protect and the skin on their necks etc turns red. this is where the term red neck comes from the poor working class like my family was working a small midwest farm.

now we can get to the main point. you made a good point and ruined it rance. it is bigots like you that take this word "red neck" and make it into somthing offensive without any concern as to who it hurts or offends because you debate with out honor and with complete ignorance of what you say tied to a diatribe of juvinile name calling. I can think of a description that would fit rance over this but it would not pass the editors review. and i thought liberals were all inclusive kind compassionant people who would jump all over someone saying bigoted remarks and i am sure your political party is proud of you way to go. i see no diference between the reps and the dems you are all alike. with the debate i have read in here this country is not going to change.

i personally believe the only way you could ever be a bigger biggot is if you ate more. "

" Hey SF, you might want to get with a little history on the origins of words. That way your arguements would have a little credibility. Not a lot, but a little.

The origin of the word "redneck" didn't come from physical descriptions of people who work in the sun. Nice try, but your logic is a little juvenile, don't you think? The word "redneck" came from the red bandanas Union coal miners wore in the Battle of Blair Mountain, West Virginia in 1921. So, using your logic, if you claim to be a "redneck", we can also assume you're a Union man. That would suggest you also support Hillary or Barrack.

Maybe you ought to try and get up to speed on current events on your own and not simply repeat what you hear on the playground during recess at school. The only way you could be a bigger fool is if you kept on not getting informed on history and the issues - just like you're doing now. "

" union yes actually a union representative after i left the military and i dont support any of the idiots running this election. i never that is never vote straight ticket never have.

the term also refers to the poor working class and i did research it and i am correct and it is offensive and it may have other assumed originations not just the history according to rance. a history that started in the south georgia and alabama in the latter 1800's refering to share croppers who by nature of their work got sunburned necks which predates the unions in the 1900's.

i may have come from the working class family farm but i chose military service instead and would still be there if i could.

dont choke as you drink from that sippy cup and make sure you sanitize your pacifier. and try looking at history before 1921 as it gives the appearance you would rather be lazy and find the closest to now term and usage of the word rather than spend the time actually learning history. just like your doing now "

" Oh geez sf, there must be a reason why you're not stil in the military - especially when they need soldiers so badly. Hey, now I get it. You're the reincarnated Factoid, back to spread uninformed "facts" to any who might listen. That's right! You claimed to be a Nam vet and in a Union man (even though you couldn't get the amount of your dues right), and you claimed to be a midwest farmer. Sorry, but your research on the origin of the word "redneck" wasn't very good, but that's just the way you are. Try again. No, instead just Shoo Fly, don't bother me. Another paddling on the facts is all you'll get if you do. "

" i do not know who this factoid is and sf is the abreviation of starfire. my dad was a farmer i just grew up on the farm. he rented untill i was 12 and bought his own. i was born in 51 joined the army in 69 retired with a medical retirement in 89 (a certain chem exposure and it caused cancer treated and caused me other problems). i wanted to stay in the mulitary more than any thing i loved my job. i tried to get back in even if just to teach when the war broke out but i was told no for active, gaurd and reserves.

after getting out of the military i went to work for a federal agency and within a couple of years got involved with the uniion and became a rep. i predomantely dealt with unfair labor practices and discrimination complaints. and would i know what the dues were in 97 when my 100 percent service connected disability became so severe that i had to retire. no i do not remember the dues amount that is 11 years ago.

now i am a pagan activist because regardles of how any rule is set up as long as it is applied equal no problem if it is not applied equal i will get involved

i know about the scarves worn and the redneck term being used and that the union worker involver were considered the good guys. comming from southern illinois and with extended family members in the mines strip and underground i am aware of the problems associated with mining and miners still need to fight.

yet the term was used as i state first in the fields of the share cropper. but you will not ever note that because you are the type who can never be wrong. i know i am right and you have not even come close to "paddlling me" .this comment just makes you appear half a bubble off plumb.

any way you right, me right , both right does not take away from the fact that you used the term brain dead red neck. you did a dis-service to both and it was and always will be an offensive term to those people and those who follow in their steps.

i was getting caught up in the arguement i forgot what started it never again. if you or any one else uses the term as you did are offensive disrespectfull biggots that are incapable of honoring those who were here before us and what they accomplished. and if you feel you must make a gurilla assault and run like a coward go ahead. "
