CASPER -- Memorial services for Nathan Scott Myers, 20, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 31, 2008, at Faith Assembly of God Church with Pastor Jack Olsen of Cornerstone Evangelical Free Church officiating.
He died July 26, 2008, in Casper.
He was born on July 9, 1988, in Cody, to Van Curtis Myers and Julie Ann Hockley.
He lived his whole life in Casper, attending Paradise Valley and Oregon Trail Elementary Schools, Dean Morgan Jr. High and graduated from Natrona County High School.
He then attended Western Wyoming Community College in Rock Springs, on a wrestling scholarship.
He was an All State football player his senior year in high school and played in the Shrine Bowl.
He was also a two time State Wrestling Champion his junior and senior years.
He attended FCA wrestling camps for six years and was involved in the Casper Wrestling Club.
He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, backpacking and camping.
He is survived by his parents, Van and Julie Hockley Myers of Casper; sister, Erin Myers Julius of Issaquah, Wash.; brother, Clay Myers of Casper; grandparents, Robert and Sara Hockley of Cody; five aunts, five uncles and seven cousins
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, A.V. and Fern Myers.
Newcomer Family Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Fellowship of Christian Athletes Camp Scholarship, Nate Myers Memorial. Contributions made payable to FCA P.O Box 669, Thermopolis, WY 82443
