The signs are everywhere — but less and less so, according to some supporters of Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama.

The signs are everywhere — but less and less so, according to some supporters of Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama.

Barb Rea, a field organizer for the Obama campaign in Casper, said she’s received calls and in-person complaints that campaign signs have gone missing from people’s front yards.

“I know I haven’t seen as many as we’ve sold,” she said, “and there are probably more people having them stolen than have come in or reported it.”

One Obama supporter in Casper, Lindsey Grant, said her sign was stolen from her house at on Beverly Street while she was out of town.

“I was a little upset,” Grant said. “These people [the thieves] are taking away our freedom of political expression."

Obama yard signs cost $8 each, so having one taken means the sign owners have just lost that money, she said.

Other political yard signs in Grant’s yard and in her neighbors’ yards were left untouched.

“That’s what bothers me, that they’ll only take the Obama signs and leave the others,” Rea said. “That’s targeted, and it’s specific, and I think that’s a sleazy way to voice your opinion. It’s such a sad comment on politics in Casper.”

And the problem isn’t only occurring in the Casper area, said Michelle Sullivan, Obama campaign state director for Wyoming.

“We’re finding that it’s happening statewide,” Sullivan said. “Pretty consistently, people are reporting that their signs have disappeared.”

Signs have gone missing in Sheridan and in various communities in Park County, she said, adding that the problem is most common where more signs are sold.

Sullivan assumes the thefts are related to the huge amount of support the campaign has received in these communities; people want to put the Obama signs up in their own yards, she said, and so take them from others’ properties.

“We’re always happy to give people signs if they come into the office,” she said.

Amy Larimer, executive director of the Republican Party of Wyoming, said stolen yard signs are always a problem, for both local and national candidates.

“This happens every election,” she said. “Of course, we don’t appreciate it because our candidates spend a lot of money producing those signs.”

Both the Obama campaign and the Republican Party of Wyoming ask that people watch closely for yard sign thieves and that they report the thieves to the police.

" Shouldn't the headline have read "Political signs go missing"? No, that wouldn't put the right spin on, now would it? "

" Ain't this just the last act of a desperate and losing party? Can't and won't win on the issues, so the less desirable of the Republicans are out there stealing signs. Talk about losers. It doesn't matter that Obama might not win Wyoming. What matters is that people in the rest of the nation have the intelligence to tell the Republican hate machine we've had enough. "

Ergo, Obama supporters tend to be thieves. Ok, I'll buy that, since their Marxist candidate wants to thieve more of my money right out of my pocket. "

" • Around 1979 Obama started college at Occidental in California. He is very open about his two years at Occidental, he tried all kinds of drugs and was wasting his time but, even though he had a brilliant mind, did not apply himself to his studies. Interestingly, "Barry" (the name he used all his life) during this time, had two roommates – Muhammad Hasan Chandoo and Wahid Hamid, both from Pakistan.

• During the summer of 1981, after his second year in college, he made a "round the world" trip - stopping to see his mother in Indonesia; next Hyderabad in India; three weeks in Karachi Pakistan where he stayed with his roommate's family; then off to Africa to visit his father's family.
o My question - Where did he get the money for this trip? Nether I, nor any one of my children would have had money for a trip like this when they where in college.

• When he came back he started school at Columbia University in New York. It is at this time he also makes a name change and wants everyone to call him Barack – not Barry.
o Do you know what tuition is at Columbia? It's not cheap, to say the least. Where did he get money for tuition? Student Loans? Maybe.

• After Columbia, he went to Chicago to work as a Community Organizer for $12,000. a year. Why Chicago? Why not New York? He was already living in New York.

• By "chance" he met Antoin "Tony" Rezko, born in Aleppo Syria, and a real estate developer in Chicago. Rezko has been convicted of fraud and bribery this year. Rezko, was named "Entrepreneur of the Decade" by the Arab-American Business and Professional Association".

• About two years later, Obama entered Harvard Law School.
o Do you have any idea what tuition is for Harvard Law School? Where did he get the money for Law School? More student loans?

• After Law school, he went back to Chicago. Rezko offered him a job, which he turned down. But, he did take a job with Davis, Miner, Barnhill & Galland. Guess what? They represented "Rezar" which is Rezko's firm.

o Rezko was one of Obama's first major financial contributors when he ran for office in Chicago.
o In 2003, Rezko threw an early fundraiser for Obama which Chicago Tribune reporter David Mendelland claims was instrumental in providing Obama with "seed money" for his U.S. Senate race.
o In 2005, Obama purchased a new home in Kenwoood District of Chicago for $1.65 million (less than the asking price).
o With ALL these Student Loans - Where did he get the money for the property?
 Interestingly, on the same day, Rezko's wife Rita, purchased the adjoining empty lot for full price.
 The London Times (where is the American press?) reported that Nadhmi Auchi, an Iraqi-born Billionaire loaned Rezko $3.5 million three weeks before Obama's new home was purchased. Obama met Nadhmi Auchi many times with Rezko.

And now, we have Barry – turned Barak – Obama running for the President of the UNITED STATES! This is a man who refuses to wear the American flag or have it on his platform when he travels to foreign lands because he doesn’t want to “offend anyone”. Offend who? Perhaps his Muslim buddies who are the only possible ones who even might be offended?

But wait! There is more . . .

 Valerie Jarrett, was Michele Obama's boss. She is now Obama's chief advisor and he does not make any major decisions without talking to her first.
o Where was Jarrett born? Ready for this? Shiraz, Iran! Do we see a pattern here? Or am I going crazy? Paranoid as some would dismiss it?

 On May 10, 2008 The Times reported, Robert Malley advisor to Obama was "sacked" after the press found out he was having regular contacts with "Hamas", which controls Gaza and is connected with Iran. This past week, buried in the back part of the papers, Iraqi newspapers reported that during Obama's visit to Iraq, he asked their leaders to do nothing about the war until after he is elected, and he will "Take care of things".

Oh, and by the way, remember the college roommates that where born in Pakistan? They are in charge of all those "small" Internet campaign contributions for Obama. Where is that money coming from? The poor and middle class in this country as claimed by the Obama camp and of which they refuse to disclose the sources? Or perhaps from the Middle East, China and other foreign countries –which is absolutely illegal, for obvious reasons stated above?

And the final bit of news. On September 7, 2008, The Washington Times posted a verbal slip that was made on "This Week" with George Stephanapoulos. Obama on talking about his religion said, "My Muslim faith" – which he neglected to correct. He was rescued when Stephanapoulos jumped and and said you mean “your Christian faith”. When questioned, Obama claimed “he made a mistake". Some mistake! Maybe more likely, he slipped and was telling the truth for a change.

All of the above information I got on line. If you would like to check it - Wikipedia, encyclopedia, Barack Obama; Tony Rezko; Valerie Jarrett: Daily Times - Obama visited Pakistan in 1981; The Washington Times - September 7, 2008; The Times May 10, 2008.

Now the BIG question - If I found out all this information on my own, Why haven't all of our "intelligent" members of the press been reporting this?

A phrase that keeps ringing in my ear - "Beware of the enemy from within"!!! "

" Casper man when you was doing your research you should have looked at the Mccain - Keating connection. Shortly before S & L went under Mccain & family including dog & babysitter was generalously given a all exspense trip (vacation) to the caribean . Mccain Reprimanded by the Senate Ethics Committee.
The Keating Five were five United States Senators accused of corruption in 1989, igniting a major political scandal as part of the larger Savings and Loan crisis of the late 1980s and early 1990s. The five senators, Alan Cranston (D-CA), Dennis DeConcini (D-AZ), John Glenn (D-OH), John McCain (R-AZ), and Donald W. Riegle (D-MI), were accused of improperly intervening in 1987 on behalf of Charles H. Keating, Jr. chairman of the Lincoln Savings and Loan Association, which was the target of a regulatory investigation by the Federal Home Loan Bank Board.
Lincoln Savings and Loan collapsed in 1989, at a cost of over $3 billion to the federal government.
Thats pennys compared to the 700 billion were using for a bail out this time.
Some 23,000 Lincoln bondholders were defrauded and many elderly investors lost their life savings. The substantial political contributions that Keating had made to each of the senators, totalling $1.3 million. Senators John Glenn and John McCain were cleared of having acted improperly but were criticized for having exercised "poor judgment".
McCain and Keating had become personal friends following their initial contacts in 1981 and McCain was the only one of the five with close social and personal ties to Keating.
McCain, his family, and their baby-sitter had made nine trips at Keating's expense, sometimes aboard Keating's jet. Three of the trips were made during vacations to Keating's opulent Bahamas retreat at Cat Cay.
McCain did not pay Keating (in the amount of $13,433) for some of the trips until years after they were taken, when he learned that Keating was in trouble over Lincoln. McCain would write in 2002 that attending the two April 1987 meetings was "the worst mistake of my life".[ Not everyone was satisfied with the Senate Ethics Committee conclusions. Fred Wertheimer, president of Common Cause, which had initially demanded the investigation, thought the treatment of the senators far too lenient, and said, "[The] action by the Senate Ethics Committee is a cop-out and a damning indictment of the committee.
Joan Claybrook, president of Public Citizen, called it a "whitewash".[61] Jonathan Alter of Newsweek said it was a classic case of the government trying to investigate itself, labelling the Senate Ethics Committee "shameless" for having "let four of the infamous Keating Five off with a wrist tap.
Polls showed that most Americans believed the actions of the Keating Five were typical of Congress as a whole.
On October 6, 2008, the Keating Five scandal, its possible parallel to the subprime mortgage crisis and liquidity crisis of September 2008, and specifically the role in the scandal of Republican presidential nominee McCain, were reintroduced into public political discourse by the campaign of his Democratic opponent, Barack Obama, through a documentary entitled Keating Economics.
Now Obama has been linked to Ayers from when he was 8 years old , Ayers now is a prominent proffessor & Keating is still serving time.
Do we dare gamble our economy on some one whos been linked & a close corrupt friend.
Ethics do we want a ethical person in DC
“The evidence supports the conclusion that Governor Palin, at the least, engaged in ‘official action’ by her inaction if not her active participation or assistance to her husband in attempting to get Trooper Wooten fired [and there is evidence of her active participation.] She knowingly, as that term is defined in the above cited statutes, permitted Todd Palin to use the Governor’s office and the resources of the Governor’s office, including access to state employees, to continue to contact subordinate state employees in an effort to find some way to get Trooper Wooten fired. Her conduct violated AS 39.52.110(a) of the Ethics Act…
“Governor Palin knowingly permitted a situation to continue where impermissible pressure was placed on several subordinates in order to advance a personal agenda.” "

Thanks for motivating me to do more. I understand that Obama is not going to get Wyoming's three votes but we still have to live and work together. " Here is a quick look into 3 former Fannie Mae executives who have brought down Wall Street.
1. Franklin Raines: Was a Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Fannie Mae. Raines was forced to retire from his position with Fannie Mae when auditing discovered severe irregularities in Fannie Mae's accounting activities. At the time of his Departure The Wall Street Journal noted, 'Raines, who long defended the company's accounting despite mounting evidence that it wasn't proper, issued a statement conceding that 'mistakes were made' and saying he would assume responsibility as he had earlier promised. News reports indicate the company was under growing pressure from regulators to shake up its management in the wake of findings that the company's books ran afoul of generally accepted accounting principles for four years.'

a.Fannie Mae had to reduce its surplus by $9 billion.
b.Raines left with a 'golden parachute valued at $240 Million in benefits.
i.The Government filed suit against Raines when the depth of the accounting scandal became clear.

ii.The Government noted, 'The 101 charges reveal how the individuals improperly manipulated earnings to maximize their bonuses, while knowingly neglecting accounting systems and internal controls, misapplying over twenty accounting principles and misleading the regulator and the public. The Notice explains how they submitted six years of misleading and inaccurate accounting statements and inaccurate capital reports that enabled them to grow Fannie Mae in an unsafe and unsound manner.'
iii. These charges were made in 2006.
iv.The Court ordered Raines to return $50 Million Dollars he received in bonuses based on the miss-stated Fannie Mae profits.
2.Tim Howard: Was the Chief Financial Officer of Fannie Mae. Howard 'was a strong internal proponent of using accounting strategies that would ensure a 'stable pattern of earnings' at Fannie. In everyday English - he was cooking the books. The Government Investigation determined that, 'Chief Financial Officer Tim Howard, failed to provide adequate oversight to key control and reporting functions within Fannie Mae.'

a.On June 16, 2006, Rep. Richard Baker, R-La ., asked the Justice Department to investigate his allegations that two former Fannie Mae executives lied to Congress in October 2004 when they denied manipulating the mortgage-finance giant's income statement to achieve management pay bonuses.
b.Investigations by federal regulators and the company's board of directors, since concluded that management did manipulate 1998 earnings to trigger bonuses.
i.Raines and Howard resigned under pressure in late 2004.
ii.Howard's Golden Parachute was estimated at $20 Million!
3.Jim Johnson: A former executive at Lehman Brothers, who was later forced from his position as Fannie Mae CEO. A look at the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight's May 2006 report on mismanagement and corruption inside Fannie Mae reveals some interesting things about Johnson.
a.Investigators found that Fannie Mae had hidden a substantial amount of Johnson's 1998 compensation from the public, reporting that it was between $6 million and $7 million when it fact it was $21 million.'
b.Johnson is currently under investigation for taking illegal loans from Countrywide while serving as CEO of Fannie Mae.
c.Johnson's Golden Parachute was estimated at $28 Million.

And now, WHERE ARE THEY?
1. FRANKLIN RAINES? Raines works for the Obama Campaign as Chief Economic Advisor
2. TIM HOWARD? Howard is also a Chief Economic Advisor to Obama
3. JIM JOHNSON? Johnson is hired as a Senior Obama Finance Advisor and was selected to run Obama's Vice Presidential Search Committee

If Obama plans on cleaning up the mess, his advisors definitely have the expertise –
THEY MADE THE MESS IN THE FIRST PLACE!!

Luckily for our nation; the rest of the country isn't as brainwashed as the people of Wyoming, so there's hope that the rest of the country will make the right decision for us even though the people of Wyoming aren't smart enough to vote in their own best interest. As far as the signs; I cannot believe that people think it's ok to steal signs from other people's yards whether because you want the sign for yourself or because you are trying to keep anyone from seeing it...how childish! I'm sure that it is republicans that are mad because they see their party's power slipping away due to their bogus platform that only looks out for the rich and powerful while ignoring the overwhelming majority who are not rich or powerful; bad choice, as the lower and middle income Americans outnumber the rich and powerful at least ten to one. The rich and powerful only get one vote each just like the rest of us. "

It is everyones responsibility to tell people not to steal, the principles have nothing to do with elections and everything to do with morals.

I'm going to get another sign, donate more money and wait for someone to steal it again. Then I will go get another.

All in all, there are going to be many people who will blindly vote for either party.
The truth is that there are many Intelligent Republicans and Democrats out there, who have been paying attention to the policies, and who are respectful to each-others decisions.
