Now what?

The crush of the holiday hoopla has ended, but many winter-related and other events won't kick in until later this month.

You don't have to succumb to cabin fever, though.

This weekend, check out what's happening at the Fort Caspar Museum, the library, the Rec Center, and the Nicolaysen Art Museum.

Fort Caspar Museum, 4001 Fort Caspar Road, is hosting "Hollywood in Wyoming," an exhibit showcasing items linking Wyoming to the movie industry. The exhibit was curated by the students of Valerie Innella's museum studies class at Casper College. Items include the saddle presented to Tim McCoy by the Arapahoe tribe, a costume from Starship Troopers, a costume worn by Casper native Laurie Anders in "The Marshall's Daughter," a costume worn by Kenny Rogers in the film "Wild Horses" and more.

Hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cost: $1.50 for adults, $1 students, free for children 12 and under.

The Natrona County Public Library, 307 E. Second St., offers its weekly Storytime program at 10:30 a.m. for children ages 2-5 and their parents.

The Nicolaysen Art Museum, 400 E. Collins Drive, features several exhibits that close after this weekend:

-- "Reviewing the West," an exhibition by Casper artist Bill Shepherd. Features 40-50 paintings organized by the Gerald Peters Gallery in Santa Fe, N.M., and curated by Karen Rogers. Shows through Sunday.

-- Solo exhibitions by three contemporary artists show through Sunday. Artists are Tom Nussbaum of Montclair, N.J., who creates whimsical sculptures, drawings and works on paper influenced by early American folk art; Lucy Fradkin of Brooklyn, N.Y., a self-taught painter who paints dynamic full-length portraits with distinctive colors; and James Holmes of Santa Fe, N.M., who blends sculpture, furniture, assemblage and collage.

-- The works of Conrad Schwiering are on display through Sunday in the Rosenthal Gallery. Exhibit features 29 oil on Masonite works and represent the Nicolaysen's collection of the famous Wyoming artist.

The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today, and from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Unless otherwise noted, Nic admission is free for members; $5 for adult nonmembers and $3 for children and students with school identification.

The Casper Recreation Center, 1801 E. Fourth St., offers a wide variety of programs and drop-in activities, besides being the focal point of recreation services in the community.

It features a gymnasium for basketball and volleyball, racquetball courts, a weight room, a fitness room, locker rooms, a game room, an indoor park and several multipurpose rooms and meeting areas.
